Nestled right alongside the North Yuba River, Sierra City is home to North America’s premier wild trout fly-fishing waters.

Within a radius of nine miles, there are more than twenty sparkling mountain lakes providing a spectacular setting for summer fishing, boating, hiking and sightseeing.

For the extreme and adventurous, world-class mountain biking trails, including the famous “Downieville Downhill,” are just minutes away.

Five spectacular 18-hole championship golf courses are less than a half hour away and Lake Tahoe’s North Shore is within an hour’s drive.

For history buffs, The Sierra County Historical Park and Museum is located right in Sierra City. Experience a journey back in time by exploring the Gold Rush era Kentucky Mine.

Our restaurant is closed in November w/ the exception of Thanksgiving Dinner (reservations required). 7 rooms available all winter, serving dinner to guests by prearrangement. Our restaurant re-opens to the public on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays, December through April. Call for more info!
